| The
Charter High School provides a non-traditional learning environment for
students (ages 16-21) seeking a high school diploma.
| Programs
are designed to meet each student's needs based upon their individual skill
levels and learning styles.
| The
"school-to-work" focus allows students to learn skills in a manner which is
easily transferred to the work environment.
| The
Charter High School operates 8:00am to 2:00pm Monday through Friday. The
class periods are longer than a traditional 50-minute class to allow students
more time to focus on each subject.
| The classes are taught in nine-week
sessions so that students are able to earn the same number of credits as they
would earn taking six subjects a day.
| All subjects, electives, and other
materials are based on the
Arizona Essential Skills to ensure that students are learning the required material for
graduation. The curriculum is focused on each students actual reading, math,
and language skill levels.
| This is a "self-paced" program
provided in a variety of formats. By offering material in different formats,
students can choose a format they learn from best. The
self-paced program allows students to advance through the material at their own pace with
teachers assisting in each step of the process. |
